Administration and Human Resources


The Administration and Human Resources Unit of the Gambia Postal Services Corporation (GAMPOST) became a fully fledged department on the 1 January 2009. Prior to the department being merged with the Finance Department, it was headed by a Director. In 2014, the Administration and Human Resources department was put under the purview of the Finance Director culminating in the creation of Director of Finance and Administration (DFA).

The DFA is directly assisted by the Administration and Human Resources Manager (AHRM) who is assisted by two officers.

The role of this department is a critical one as it is charged with the responsibility of staff welfare, recruitment, training and motivation all of which have a direct impact on the overall performance of the Corporation. In cognizance of these roles, the Administration and HR Department (AHRD) is poised to make GAMPOST the best workplace amongst the public enterprises in The Gambia. It is hoped that with the support of the Board of Directors, management and staff, this dream will become a reality in the not distant future. It is in this vein that all the identified areas of intervention in the strategic plan are geared towards enhancing the effective and efficient service delivery from all and sundry.
